Trackday Nutts Corner NI

After meeting a few of you guys at the trackday in Mondello, I thought I should try and round up some troops for this event. :P

Ally (douzeper) from NI-Minis has organised a trackday in Nutts corner (about 2 hours from dublin) for the 2nd June.

Price is quite reaonsable at £30. The track will be ours for the full day. Any cars are allowed to attend but first preference will of course be given to minis (off all types ) on the day.

Especially since Im suppose to take my sister to Dublin Airport for the Friday night!!

Nutts Corner is a couple of miles from Antrim and the International Airport.

It would be a long trek up for some of you but Ally is trying to get camping organised and an on-site bar is a possibility for the evening but not confirmed yet. Sounds like we'll get a fair amount of track time for £30 as well. Cars need to be road legal and taxed so no track cars due to serious noise problems in the past.

I'm going allright but then it is only 4 miles from my house! Still deciding which car to take - depends if I can scrounge a spare set of wheels off my brother as I don't want to ruin a set of runflats (£££££) so might take the Mini instead. Great to have a choice though! :wink:

Some pictures of the day - I managed to take 929 pictures today..... 8O

We got all sorts of weather today from sunshine to light rain. Got really slippy after lunch and one or two iffy spins - all good though, no-one needs to call the bodyshop on Monday so we're all happy. Some engine problems for a few cars but everyone should have made it home allright.

I took the MINI in the end myself - 1 proper spin in the wet and more than a few "moments" with the back end getting loose.... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Bit of a mixture of track and road cars and a few Non-Minis as well for a bit of variety. The yellow R1-engined Z-Cars conversion was extremely tail-happy in the wet - I think he had the most spins all day!
