Pet's Corner

Postby Starrywalsh » Thu Feb 21, 2008 4:49 pm

Hi all,

I mentioned starting a subject like this a while back, a bit weird for a Mini club site but with lots of pets out there and lots of talk/pics of pets on the site it would be good to see some pics here. Hopefully we can see pics of Alvins zoo, Ferg's MPI driving labadoor and Derfinn's cat/gunie pig playing together here soon!!!

Happy posting.
:D

Soon I will post up some pics of our other pets-

Nesta - 1 year old cat, we have him since birth
Yasmin - 4 year old small dog, cross breed.
Suile - Latest edition - you will all remember we got he instead of a new kitten, she is 1 year old, with one working eye, and SUPRISE SUPRISE ... she is due in 2 weeks, kittens free to good homes :)
Donna - 4 year old Russian tortoice, donna is now living with my buddy john, she had outgrown her enclosure so I had to do whats best, John is reptile mad, and has a massive garage for all his animals.

I'll post soon. :D

On ay down to Waterford on Saturday, we took a pitstop outside Carlow, in the big Garden Centre.

There's a pet shop as part of it, and so we just looked in to see what was there. Given that we have the two guinea pigs, we always look in pet shops, and are disappointed if there aren't any.

Long story short, our guinea pig family has now doubled! Picked up two 8 week old girls, one is long haired. They have been christed Carrie and Miranda! Will post up some pics of the new girls when I take a few!

It was a funny trip back with them all, because we had to collect Mitsey, the packing was done at a bit of a rush. Normally, the guinea pigs are packed into cardboard boxes filled with straw, just to keep them safe (there's also a supply of celery in there too!).

But we decided just to put the cage in, and hope they'd be okay! Three of the girls buried themselves, but one of the new ones (Miranda) wanted to see where she was going! She was airborn with every shake and bounce, but she seemed to love that!
