well, when i first joined these lovely forum thingys i suffered a momentary lack of imagination and named myself brgmc, not knowing of course that i would get dragged into the community..... the brgmc was predictably british racing green mini cooper...... woooooo!

anyway as i started getting out and about i gained the slightest reputation for being a little 'eccentric' and someone called me the mad brummie..... so when i sold the racing green mini and brought the red cooper s i had Mr Mullett change my username to mad brummie and i have been doing my level best to live upto the name ever since.

Mine's been hanging round me for ages - it was the first name in front of me when I signed up to an online gaming forum many, many years ago.

Its actually the name of a piece of software I use at work for programming PLCs.

Yeah well I have had "starry" handed down, it has come from my great grand father, to his father, then to my father, then me, and my two brothers "starry" 8O. Walsh - surname.

For me - I stumbled across MINI2 in early 2003 when I had got a snifter of a Diesel in the offing, and came across the site in search of any scrap of info.
Wasn't very imaginitive, but this was in the days before the One D had gone to press, and I didn't really think I'd be hanging round long enough to get worried about a username.
I carried the name over to here, makes even less sense now! as I no longer own the car, but I never got round to coming up with another one, and everyone knows me as OneD now!

........unless you are one of our American friends who thought I was called
....O'Ned  - it's and Irish thing! :)

O'Ned.... don't think I ever read it that way. Maybe One'd, but not O'Ned. ;)

jimskater has been around for nearly forever. Just before I turned thirty, I took up figure skating. The rest is history
