The Lego Vault

Postby Owen » Tue Jun 24, 2008 11:30 pm

For anyone that doesn't know, Lego has a vault, with every single set in stock since they first started building in the 1950's, right up to today. For 2 reasons. 1) They're worth an absolute fortune 2) If there's every a copyright/patent case, they can prove their intellecual property. Anyone, enough blabbing, they have one of the writers at Gizmodo a tour ... pretty cool stuff, and I used to have the set in the second photo. Anyone else recognise sets?

Weren’t you posh Siobhan with your electrical Lego  … Iwas lucky to have the basic blocks and only then do I ever remember building a square house… Must have been lacking that creative flair, eh?

Thinking back… Had we even electricity at this time???!!!

You built a whole square house... I'm jealous! The bricks we had only got me up 2 rows, and only had two red windows and one door!! Posh oh yeah!! LOL!! I don't think so! Ah... could they not share with you Baker?! I'm sure you have creative flair in other areas of your life don't you?!!

Oh my god....we had a LEGO town in our household - I had all the girly stuff like the hospital, horse riding stables, cafe and restaurant!! Was so jealous of Jules though - he had the airport (which had the coolest little baggage conveyor belt with little suitcases!!), filling station, harbour and police station!! Damian had the mountain ranch and fire station!!!
We had the whole living room floor taken up with our Legoville!!!
