Help, trouble with my Dell XPS

Postby Starrywalsh » Sat Aug 23, 2008 7:18 pm

My Dell XPS wont let me log in, when I turn it on and enter my password I get a message saying unable to access user profile, I run a diagnostic on it and a red x came up under harddrive but it gave me no info, anyone have any ideas? :dontknow: :shaking:

Will it let you get on under safe mode?

F8 on startup will let you choose to start in safe mode.

I did enter safe mode, but if I tried to restore or repair I had an error.... I eventually gave in and just reset to factory settings :(

That'd be a very silly thing to do. Norton's a big pile of steaming horse manure, and Avast regularly wins awards for it's protection and security.
