sad to see such a graceful liner taken out of service. Isn't it headed for Dubai to be a luxury hotel?

The 41-year-old QE2 is retiring in November, relocate to Dubai, where it will serve as a floating hotel .

Brilliant pics Pete , I never realised it looked so elegant , just like you would expect a 'liner' to look like , compared with the new generation of 'super' cruise liners it looks brilliant , anyone know how the new Q will look ? modern or retro ?

CUNARD have ordered a £350million replacement for the world’s most famous ship, the QE2 – and will name it QUEEN ELIZABETH.
the Queen Elizabeth will be longer and stronger – and inside she will offer the very best of Cunard's values and traditions, blended with every conceivable modern luxury that today's discerning travellers expect.”

No its the new Queen Victoria. The Queen Elizabeth is still big lumps of steel at the minute and shes going to be more of a liner than a cruise ship
