Mini Comments

Postby J_NeoN » Sun Aug 06, 2006 6:19 pm

Sometimes when people ask me what I drive I find there reactions very funny, within the last two weeks from a few different people I’ve had “Ah sure all you want is something to get you from a to b” and another one is “Isn’t it a grand car for starting out in” and “Look tis as good as any normal car” ( said in an extremely condescending tone)

I think its obvious that these people have never driven a Mini.

You have to listen to thunder , I bet those People would be highly impressed if You had a Honda Civic or a G6 Corolla or some other Rice Car , leave them be they are more to be pitied than scorned

Ya they’re usually quietened when they see it though, I think its just they have some kind of Mr.Bean idea of a Mini in their head at first.

I'm more worried about forgetting my SatNav, and License. I'll collect the SatNav from you later today, but I'm fecked if I can find my Driver's License. Thought it was with my Pilot's License, but I can't find that either 8O

Anyway, back on topic, MINI Comments ... you wouldn't believe the ones we get at work.

"Small uncomfortable cars", then they sit in and drive them. Myth Busted.

"No Boot Space" ... yes, but you can drop the seats if you need space. I've seen a MINI take a 36" TV where a Lancer couldn't.

"They've very expensive for a small car" ... well, you could spend 25k on a Golf, and watch in depreciate. The MINI is the least depreciating car in it's class, making it a cheap car to run for a few years, and a great investment. They're also very cheap to service.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg!
