Crimbo Decorations

Postby AdyP » Mon Dec 01, 2008 4:12 pm

Never really sure when is the best time to put these up, some say Today, others two weeks before.

What's the general opinion? Who's had them up since September? :)

We always put ours up the week before Christmas...if we put the tree up too soon...the novelty has worn off by Christmas Day...plus pine needles start shedding before the big day!!!!
I'm all for leaving things until the last week before Christmas....don't want to be all Christmas-ed out by Christmas Day!!!

lol

IMO, I think that 8th Dec is time enough.

The young guy in our office put up ours today, so I was christened the office scrooge, as I was willing to wait!

I guess that we'll have our tree up this weekend....but the amount of decos that have been up about the town for 2 weeks now is unbelievable, and us with a Green Minister living in the area!

We put the decorations up at the Dealership yesterday and it got me in the Christmas mood right away. Even started listening to Christmas music on the iPod on the way home. We're not putting up decorations at home as we're going to Poland on the 22nd for a week!

BTW, if anyone works in a place where you're forced to listen to Christmas music, or you just want to listen to something different in the car, get Brian Setzer's Christmas Albums - he does 1960's Big Band Rock and Roll take on all the classics, and some new ones too - think Santa driving hotrods. Very cool!

C'mon over to Amerikay...

We've had Christmas decorations in the stores since October, and the music started 2 weeks ago...

Our tree is going up the weekend of the 20th
