Really enjoying having my Classic Mini back on the road :)
Had a great weekend of driving in it. First off to Sneem Hotel for a night with Lou. Lovely roads down there were enjoyed and the Mpi was faultless :)
Then the Coast Mini run by Julian yesterday. Had a great time driving it all around Glandore etc.
And then today it passed 50,000 miles!!!
I was enjoying the car so much I didn't even see it go past ;)

Happy 50th Ferg, I still have 2 of my classics that have not passed the 45k, The 1982 and 1967 so the average yearly miles are down on both. Good to see you are enjoying the classic again and I bet much cheaper. The Kerry roads around Seem are fantastic for a bit of mini fun.

Really enjoying driving my Classic Mini of late :)

Trying to decide whether or not to fit over riders to the bumpers.....??
Going for the kinda Mk2 look.
I've had a new set of over riders for two years just sitting in a box!
Tried fitting one today and it looked well but i also like the 'clean' look without them...
Thoughts?

I like the over-riders, especially combined with a Mk1 grill and 10inch wheels. You could try double-siding them to the bumpers for a day :)

Thanks Adrian ;)
Yeah the fitting is very easy, just one bolt on each which just grabs the underside of the bumper, so I'll trial fit them later and see if I like the look.

Oh cool, I thought they would need you to drill the bumper to fit them like the old ones did. Much better idea :)

As usual I got side tracked.....!

So I went about cleaning and re-oiling the K&N airfilter in my Classic Mpi today ;)
It was very dirty but came up a treat and I'll re-oil it shortly once it's dried.

And.....It's made a big difference to the way it revs and goes :)
Ger has the service kits for these filters in stock and also brand new K&N airfilters for all types of Mini and MINI. Well worth fitting as it improves the throttle response and helps the engine breath better too.
