MINIPolka's MINI One Cabrio

As most of you know, Gosia got herself her first MINI last year, a 2004 MINI Blackeye Purple MINI One Cabrio. So far, we've been very busy upgrading and modifying her car as well as my own, but heres the original photos :

We then fitted leather door armrests to replace the cloth, fitted a new Clutch, and an entire new soft top roof including rear windscreen. We also fitted a new gearknob, exterior bumper mouldings and some chrome side repeaters.

Next up was a Dension ICE>Link iPod Interface and Cradle, the how-to for installing this is inside the ICE forum, but this was the result :

The most recent change has been to refit the entire interior in Leather. I installed the sports leather seats that were in my car before I fitted the works seats into Gosia's car, and we've just sourced a set of matching rear leather seats. I'm going to install them this weekend weather permitting, and get some photos.

lol Bluezed! I'm I really that bad?? Well, her rear seats should hopefully be arriving today if the courier manages to get through the torrential rain. And if the weather breaks at the weekend, I'll get a chance to fit them. Then if I can talk her into it, I may fit a chrome interior kit, original though, not the cheap un-fitting knock offs on eBay.

Haha the first step is admitting you have a problem...the second is to conceal your problem from everyone else. :D

The full leather will look pretty cool anyway. Definitely stay away from the ebay kits, they let the whole car down so it's a total waste of money.

I am worried about what Owen is going to do when both MINIs are finished , I think a Classic should be found to occupy his time ,

I'm worried what I'll do too. Thankfully the gearbox on my Ducati 916 needs attention, so that'll be the next job :(

Finished installing the leather today, took about 40 minutes in total. The bottom part of the rear seat just lifts out after you withdraw the ISOFIX mounting points. The foldable rear seats are very simple to remove, fold them down, and inbetween them there's a size 10 bolt, undo this, push the cover the bolt was holding back, and you can lift out each seat at the centre hinge. Pull the seat back up 45 degrees and you can then pull it out of it's edge hinge. Reverse the procedure to install the new ones.
