i ordered quite a few new parts for the car lol

i got a set of proper rover 4.5x12" alloys for the car, these were optional when the mayfair was being built, i just wanted the proper rover ones for some reason!

i got them refurbed

when i finally got the engine running after fitting the new fuel pump there was an awful rattling noise coming from the engine,
it turned out that the car had either been run with little or no oil, the wrong oil or horsed from cold and had scored the crank which had destroyed the bearings, causing the rattle:
so i left the car out to a mates house to be fixed

Mother of God, I think this is quite possibly the most interesting thread on the site at the moment. That was some rebuild Mark, all credit to you! Thank you for sharing the car with us, it's incredible!
