Pat's Mini Cooper

Postby MiniMpi » Sun Mar 30, 2008 9:57 pm

Opened up a thread for Pat for his beautiful '00 Mini Cooper in BRG.
He can tell ye all about it here.
I went down to him today to fit the lovely all Black leather Mpi type airbag steering wheel that used to be on my Mpi.
Very glad it's gone to a deserving Mini!
Pat' Cooper has full black leather seats and door trims. The Cooper came with a Black and cream steering wheel, cream gearstick and gaitor.
We changed the steering wheel tonight and he's getting a black gaitor for the gearstick and he's putting on a 'Cooper sport 500' type alloy gearstick.
This will really suit the black interior way better.
Photo's of the newly fitted steering wheel below and of the old Black and cream one:

Ok, It’s been a while from I last came in here and give an update as to what has been happening with my mini. So here goes…

Engine
Med Stage 3 cylinder head
Maniflow Manifold
Maniflow Link Pipe
Maniflow Exhaust System
K&N Air Filter
Fuel Pressure Regulator
4 NGK High Performance Spark Plugs
Battery Cut of Switch

Exterior
Chrome Washer Jets
Chrome Dummy Wiper Buttons
Back Window Wiper
Chrome Grill Buttons
Windscreen Chrome strip
Back Window Chrome Strip
4 X Yokohama A539

Interior
Remote Central locking – (Favourite part/Mod)
Sony Xplod MP3 CD player`
Black Leather steering wheel
Black Gear stick Gaitor
Black Handbrake Gaitor
Original Mk1 Gear Knob
Air Condition re-gassed
New Mini Sport Floor mats

What’s to follow ……….
-Bore out throttle body from 38mm to 44mm and fit new butterfly
-Re-spray roof and place new stripes on the bonnet

I’ll post some pictures when I have the wagon out again, cleaned and polished. That car gets better treatment that I do. It’s in a heated garage and only has about 10 or 12 outings over the year. What should/can I be doing to preserve the vehicle and keep it in pristine condition?

Any suggestions as to where I can go next? ? ?
