Hi Niallo,
The 850 looks really tidy , its always good to wrap the classics up for the winter and use the MINI that way you have the best of both worlds and the classic will be good for many many years , is the 'S' standard or have you a few mods ? welcome to the site btw .

Cheers for the comments. the S is just a standard S alright, mind you can anything about the Cooper S be considered 'just standard'!! Love the thing to bits. Just never tired of it!

as for the 850 its an imported model from Spain. Known as the Authi Mini there. Automoviles de Turismo Hispano Ingleses in Landaben, Navarra. Now they make SEAT cars!

speaking of my 'standard' S, can anyone suggest some ideas to make it not standard!!

cheap and cheerful please.

the budget is being saved for a woody estate. next years purchase hopefully if i can find a good one.

If its power you are after a good remap and a 15% pulley will make it really fly should have about 210 bhp from that . then of course you need better brakes , lots of options here , from uprated pads to 6 pot calipers and 330mm discs etc etc ,and of course its a 'spiral' after that if the 'modding' bug aets a hold ,

who do i contact about getting it remapped? Sounds like a good first option. Does it affect consumption much?

Ger do you do the remaps in your place? what is a basic remap going to cost me? i have a warranty until April next so it it advisable to wait until the warranty is out with MINI first?

Sorry for the late reply but we were getting some new floors put in the house and the computer was 'down' for the last few days , yes We can do the remap and as regards warranty its your choice to wait but remember its undetectable when done , I would wait to fit the 15% pulley though as that is not if you know what you are looking for .and as the pulley when fitted needs a different 'map' I would wait to do both together when your warranty is expired , give Me a call or PM and I will explain what is involved .

Epic christmas voyage

Postby niallo28 » Wed Jan 14, 2009 4:42 pm

after the long christmas voyage from Dublin to Belfast to Limerick to Cork and back the Cooper S enjoyed its break by the beach in Inchidoney.

New sticker looks great too!
