Newton - my R56 Cooper S.

Postby Derfinn » Tue May 26, 2009 5:24 pm

I have just fitted the chrome air scoop onto Newton, that I bought at MINI United!

I have to say, the Sparkling Silver one was a bit stubborn coming off, but I wasn't taking no for an answer!

I have to say, it is looking pretty sweet, and I'm dead chuffed with myself for being able to fit it! (Being very ham-fisted as I am!!!!!)

Now, I'm not taking any pics yet, because Newton is looking very grubby, after being left motionless for the weekend (what with the sea air and those ruddy gulls!), but I'm determined to give a full wash and shine at the weekend, so I will pop up the pics then!

Okay so here are some of the Newton pics.

I never took anymyslef pre-scoop, but here's one of the front that I borrowed from the dealer's website:

And here are the few I took on Sunday, after giving him a good wash, and placing a MU sticker on the back! lol

Just delighted with the result! It's quite subtle, but I think it's only gorgeous!

Thanks Ger, Mark and Ferg!

I am really happy with it, and it really blends in with the chrome mirrors. (Though had to stop myself buying the MU 50 mirror caps! :) )

This was my first real after market mod (but did get bonnet stripes retro fitted on Monique), so you'd never know, could be on a slippery slope!

I do quite fancy the JCW steering wheels! And also some chrome on the back might look good!!

I think Ger has a chrome rear numerplate handle from his R56 Derek if you were interested?

Hmmmmmmm! I'd have to think about that!
