Latest- my iPod has died, it's been on the go since 2004, and has been in the car since day one.. Need a replacement now sadly so suggestions welcome..:) Miss it like crazy! It was an iPod 40gb Classic. It had been acting up a bit of late but like all good things it must come to an end! :(

Fitting the Mini50 badge:
It's been fitted today but the chrome grille has it not allowing the badge to be flush with the car...

The screws supplied are also a little short so mods have to be made, two holes are being drilled into the grille!! Pics when done!

Moulded mudflaps

Postby Bawnee » Tue Aug 07, 2012 11:56 pm

Getting tired with the angled dirt that gathers behind my front wheels, thinking of getting front mudflaps, where's best to buy and are they nice on a Clubman, mmm??? ;)

Well today I washed the car, I see a fleck of silver out of the corner of my eye, it fluttered & took flight.. It was a piece of my bonnet stripe!!! And there's a triangular piece above it hanging on.. Not one bit happy. Unsure what do to, try re-stick pieces or remove stickers?!

Hi Siobhan ,
I would get some new ones , you can remove the old ones using boiling water , just pour it over the stripes and lift off , wipe away the old glue with some alcohol and then fit the new ones in the correct place ---------- easy !!!! but we have done it before ;) OR of course you could just remove them for a while and see how it looks , I did that to my Clubman about 2 years ago when I fitted the black grille and never put them back .

Thanks G, shall remove on next dry day. Boiling water won't cause damage? Pst what type of alcohol, Ethyl, Vodka etc? Should I polish bonnet after?! Not sure of permanent bald bonnet if you know what i mean, but the chipped look is not staying!! Thanks O Wise One. Must book service in ASAP also. Cheers.

Ok stripes gone, some glue residue still there, then I discover a plastic but that surrounds the lock on the roof bars is missing, grr! It wasn't even loose but it's gone, think I'm taking the roof bars off soon anyway. :)

Panic averted, found the things in the garage. Looks strange without the roof racks I've had them on so long!

You'll need to pop up some pic of Betsy without the stripes and roof bars.
