It's come around fast- I've been called ( well the car) has been called for her NCT!! I rang up to inquire why I'm being called in approx 4 months before it's due- it's due 22nd January 2012. They said it's as a result of their huge backlog last year & with the snow so they're calling cars in early!!

Technical question- cars tyre pressure is recommended 24 front/30 rear but I would often had tyre pressure warnings at that so the last few months I've been driving on 30/30 so what pressure should I set for test?

That's all I'm doing- basic wash, top up water levels on coolant & washer & tyre pressure, that's it!!

It's on Sunday but I'm guessing it'll sail through!

Ooh yes- Certain will say Jan 2014 for next test if she passes so all in order there!!

30 psi all round for the NCT. 30 in the front and 24 in the rear after that ;)
Best of luck for the NCT :)

I nearly got annihilated today... blooming gear stick came right up out of the 'socket' as i was going through a major junction and flying along as you do... I've screwed it in a bit but now its made the leather gator thing all twisty, not a look i was going for!! ... Afraid now as it doesn't feel one bit tight.... :( HELP!! :1icon_redface:

It's normally very difficult to remove the gear knob to honest, so maybe the clips inside it have broken perhaps?
Best to get it looked at. The gaitor will sort itself out when the gear knob is on properly.

I think she means the shifter Ferg, not the knob.

My car has unsynched itself from my iPhone, any ideas why? I had to 'forget this device' on iPhone & search again, most inconvenient & it's happened twice in a fortnight!
