Bloody Clubmans - they're taking over the place..... :p

So anyway - this is my new one that I was supposed to be picking up today but has been delayed until next week as they are awaiting the arrival of a V5 logbook before it can be taxed.

I went out looking for a Scenic (Being sensible of course) and walked onto Hurst's forecourt last Thursday - didn't get past this one..... The wheels sold it to me really! I texted Mark about it only to discover that he was down in Prentice buying the LB one that I had inquired about a few weeks ago!

I'll do a proper introduction once I've picked him up and taken some decent pictures but I'm just gutted that I won't have him for the IJ this weekend! :(

I know the feeling , I have just added the wheels, side vents and 'S' filler cap , Aero grille and Mikeythemini fitted his sound upgrade , need some BIG brakes next then some of the 'Stealth' spotlamps , looking at some body-kits as well but I don't think I will go with Aero this time , extra room is brilliant for the long holiday trips .

JCW Scuttles and the S filler cap are on my list as well. Is the cap easy enough to do. I did my R50 one and it was handy enough? I've found no guides or how-to instructions for the R55/56 yet.

JCW Chrome Scuttles, White Lenses
Spotlights + Aero Grille

De-orange front indicators
Maybe an Aero front bumper - undecided right now.

Good luck with Karl when you finally get hold of him Niall!

That's a shame you won't have him for the weekend.

Well, as some of you might have seen on totalMINI there has been a massive cock-up by the dealer (Non-MINI) and this car has been taken back by the original owner as he is no longer proceeding with his trade-in.... :1icon_evil:

So, I've currently got a hugely embarrased car dealer hunting down a replacment Clubby for me - had a meeting with him yesterday and gave him details of a few cars I'd found on MINI Cherished and Autotrader - he's chasing up on them now I hope but seems confident that I the "right" car can be found without costing me any more...

I also asked for a better courtesy car whilst they sort out the mess... I was in a dreadfully underpowered 1.4 Petrol Megane.... :S Did I mention they were embarrased by the cock-up.... ;)

[img:500:375]http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2599/4009116428_7993443def.jpg[/img]

To be quite fair to the dealer - the problem was caused by the Landrover Franchise who should never have allowed the car to be transferred to the Used car section for onward sale and they have been doing all they can to see this through satisfactorily. The sales guy owns a lovely Red Sportspack as well as using this R56 S as his runabout so I think the MINI connection is also helping me!

So bye bye to Karl the Clubby - he's being exported south of the border so you might see him before I do! :1icon_cry:

It will be worth the wait Niall , make sure you keep the pressure on them and take notes on all the contact you have had with them and what was and was not agreed , give them a time limit to find the MINI you want and keep a record of the ones you pointed out to them that are available , I am sure if they are a reputable company they will want to sort this just as quickly as You do ,

Saw that thread over on tM, Niall.

Thankfully, it looks like they are working for you!

That's not a bad replacement for the moment! :1icon_colors:
But, hopefully, you'll get the Clubbie of your dreams before long!
