Countryman speccing.

Postby Derfinn » Mon Jan 16, 2012 6:21 pm

I think to say that it is no secret that I've loved the Countryman since launch, and always expected one to be my next MINI (although the launch of the Coupe almost changed that!!!)

Anyways, the time has come to consider saying goodbye to my R56 S, who you will know as Newton.

I've been playing with the configurator and have been to Joe Duffy, where Vicky let me play with her computer while she ran an errand!
Anyways, what I'm thinking is....
Royal Grey/Black Countryman SD
Lounge leather interior, with heated front seats
Chili pack
Chrome line interior
Down tubes in piano black
Colour line polar beige
Anthracite roof lining
Harmon Kardon hifi
Auxiliary driving lamps
18" black twin spoke composite alloys

Can't believe that it's speccing time again. Have had Newton 3 years now, and I still get the same grin when I push Start as I did back then. But, have always said that the next MINI would be one that's kinder to Declan's back. Sometimes he is in agony after a trip.

Thats a good spec Derek , I think the Countryman really needs to have a high spec and that will do it .colour combo is stylish and will suit the Countryman's size well , only thing I would be adding is bi-xenon headlights , I just couldn't live without them now . best of luck with the speccing .

Thanks a million, Ger and I know what you mean about the xenons.

The Countryman I had last week had halogens and I was sure they weren't working! I think the xenons are part of the Chili pack now, but will need to check when finalizing.

I'm getting very happy about it now. It'll be a big change for sure.

Order placed. Went to same garage as last, every question and query I had about the spec was answers immediately.

Did try another dealer, but some questions would go days without any answer or acknowledgement.

Apparently, the build process is very quick, can go from pre to post production in a day. Longest part is transporting the finished cars from Austria.

Looks like a March delivery!

Thanks everyone.
Really getting excited now, but have upgraded the interior to Lounge Leather. I just love the piping on this.

That is a very wise choice Derek, totally changes the interior and is better quality leather too ;)
