About 4 days ago Michael ordered some parts for me on ebay and today they arrived :D

Black bonnet stripes and a new chrome handbreak handle as the other handle was loose.

Some hard work has gone into these alloys.

Step 1

Image

Sanding down and repairs of holes done.

Step 2

Image

Primer has been put on and prepared for the Hot Orange metalic paint.

Step 3

Image

The orange has gone on and the next step is the glossy black.

Results so far, though some more work has to get done before they are finished.

Step 4

We can't do that yet :( Only just put the first coat of clear on two of them.

The other two, don't look good enough so we will re-paint them, which means waiting until next sunday. These two were the first ones we started to paint and had masked them up the opposite way of what we should have done.

But at least two of them are pretty much done so we will be able to put them on the car soon.

Hope she treating you well. The handbrake is due to the speed bumps in Ballincollig (Damm things )It went spring across the car that was after it was glued on :-(
