I have been gradually doing a few little jobs on my car that had been annoying me since I bought it.
As the saying goes, it's the little things that count.
The passenger sunvisor was broken, I wanted to change the alloys etc but one thing that always got to me were three small parking dings in the passenger 1/4 panel from someone opening their door and hitting my car in a car park I assume.
With my impending Full Paint correction and Exterior valet being done by James at MX Valeting soon, I wanted these dings removed as they would stick out like a sore thumb after the detail was done.
The guy I used has done work on other Mini Club member's cars in the past and he is a wizard at this game.
I only know him as Eddie 'Dent' lol but I can pass on his info to anyone who wants it.
He's based in Midleton in Cork.
I dropped my car to him yesterday and an hour and a 15 minutes later it was ready for collection.
The three dings are gone completely and I am over the moon with it.
Sadly I didn't take any before photos so little point in showing you after ones !

I'm really looking forward to the detail work soon, James is also removing some bad scratches that again were on the car when I bought it.

€80 James which I thought was very good.
He told me that the R56 MINI (2006 - 2014) has a lot of bracing behind panels making it a very strong safe car but hard to do these kind of repairs, unlike the R50 MINI (2001 - 2006) which had much less bracing.

Well I got the Full Exterior Detail done on my 2007 Cooper S recently by James Downes at MX Valeting.
To say I'm impressed is a huge understatement !!
James did a really fantastic job.
The attention to detail with him is beyond par.
You can see the whole process of what was done here : viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4256

I'm glad you like it, it is a very nice car and I can see it's well minded.

Well done.

A major milestone happened the other day whilst on our trip to Clones.
Bluey passed 160,000 kms which is 100,000 miles ! :)
I was gutted I missed it actually going to 160,000 kms but we were having great MINI fun at the time on great roads so it was all good.
I've done 47,000 kms in Bluey since I bought him back in September 2012 and loving every minute of it :)
