Got a cheap tow hook. I'm not planning on using it as a tow hook but I wanted the bolt in piece as it will work perfectly for the reg plate bracket I have made up as I'm planning or installing a square plate.

Suppose I have the hook piece if I need it too.

A bit like this only I'll go for a slightly smaller plate.

Personally I think that the off centre number plate just doesn't look quite right. How about a slightly smaller normal number plate so there is no overhang like the standard size ones have?

I have no idea about the legality of doing something like that though.

Please feel free to ignore me, of course, as it is your car! :D

Small update.

I decided I didnt like the DRLs they were too bright so I removed them again.
If i sell them i might go for the OEM ones.

Also finally got around to putting on the new plate tow hook bracket.

I kinda like it but not 100% sure about it, But its easily undone.

Took a spin down to Larry at cleancar.ie today for some cleaning goodies.

Gtechniq exov2, I loved it on the e39 so had to get it again. I got 2 coats on the 5 out of 1 bottle so should get 3 or 4. It's a paint enhancement and sealant, water just runs off and makes cleaning so easy, this is I video of it applied to my old BMW

Gtechniq C4 trim restorer. Just applied this and it's amazing, made a complete difference to the trim, look like new.

Gtechniq C6 Matt dash. Gave it a quick try on the centre consol and seems really good.

Gtechniq G5 glass water repellant.

A set of magic sponges for cleaning the interior trim.

And some microfiber towels.

And as always Larry was a pure gent to deal with.

All I need now is so dry weather and spare time.

Ill stick up more videos when i have the glass and paint work done.

Impressive run-off with that stuff! I assume easy and quick to use as well?

The plate wouldn't be for me I think, but we all have to try stuff to see what we like. That is what makes our own car unique right?

That does not excuse fake eye lashes on headlights though...I cannot let people get away with those things at all!

Yes very easy to apply, it's very greasy when applying so just glides on and spreads very well, the bottles are tiny but I got 2 full coats on the paint work with only half a bottle, it's expensive though, the paint sealant is €51 but it lasts for up to 8 months allowing for 2 washes a week so obviously more if you wash it less, it's so easy to wash too because dirt does not stick to the car. You just have to use ph balanced shampoo because acidic shampoos with strip the sealant.

I hate the eye lash things too but as you said if the owner likes it then far enough.
I personally like my cars to be unique, usually I'm a lot more subtle with my cars but I think the mini can pull off going OTT ;)
