That is a very good price for the Michelins ( our suppliers are close in price but not that low and they doubt anyone can beat them ) , make sure that ARE 205 x 45 x 17 as some places quote for 40s . as regards BF Goodrich ------ I have never rated them drove several cars with them and never had confidence in them in the wet .

Boredom and myself got together this evening and met up with mr spray paint. :p

I have been thinking of removing the front light tint as it kind of effect the full beam lights but I hate the standard silver finish.
So did a bit or googling and found that a lot of people are taking the light apart and spraying the chrome interior bits.

So off to work I went, it was easier than I thought, a few minutes heating the glue with a heat gun and it pulled apart fairly easily,.
4 screws on the inside to remove the shield an dip then it was paint time.

I used Matt black heat resistant paint as I heard some people were experiencing blistering from the xenon ballast under the light when it heats up.

Putting the light back together went well too. Just reheated the glue and all was well.

I didn't bother with in progress pics but I took a few photos of the light with the tint, without tint and sprayed.

With the tint.

And painted.

I left the chrome ring around the xenon as I thought it would be too dark with it painted. + it wound have been a nightmare to remove to paint.

It looks good, probably darker than the tint but it won't effect the lights.

I'll get better photos in the morning.

Like it! Better move than the tint as you are at least getting full use of the Xenons now.

Thanks lads.

The light is definitely alot better and it stil achives the look i was going for.

I have ordered some LED error free sidelight bulbs so the colour matchs the Xenons.
A cheap change but makes a difference.

I have already agreed a great deal as a trade in on a 3 series so all going well I'll doing the deal next week.

I am taking all the performance parts off it so they will be up for grabs if anyone is interested.

Upgrade intercooler.
Led drl fog lights.

If your interested in anything send me a pm.

Thanks

Thanks mate.

That's the joys of family life, I was hoping I could work it but with school runs and the off day having to use it to carry stuff to other jobs it's just not practical. :(

It was a shame to strip it all back to standard but it made no seance to trade it in with everything fitted as it would have made to difference to the trade in price.

I just took it for a spin there and its crazy how different it feels and sounds.

It's staying cosmetically the same as the dealer asked me to leave it that way so it makes my life a bit easier.

I few lads are interested in a few bits already so I'll leave it until Monday to stick up a for sale add.
