So its official. Me, boredom and plastidip should not be be left alone for too long.

Went out and did the front quarters today. I seen it on a red one and thought it looked good.

The cars slowly getting more and more individual.

Ah man, really needing another Mini...

So when we finally meet up will you be easily recognisable by being an even shade of matt black? :)

Thanks Ferg, I wasnt sure about them at first but they have grown on me and im getting good feed back which i wasnt expecting. :)

I think if i had more cans lying round the whole car could be black by now :p lol.

Yesterday evening I removed all the wheels and power hosed the wheel arches and applied HD degreaser to all the arches, suspension and anything i could see, its great stuff and all the dirt and grime is now gone :D

No photos as my hands were frozen and it got dark :o

I use Michelin Pilot Sport 3s on the Clubman and they are incredible , wet weather grip is unreal . I have used all the premium brands and just never found anything to get even near the Michelins .

Thanks Ger I remember you saying that before.
How to you find the life of them. I only do on average 120 miles a week

Any idea on cost or if there is anywhere you would recommend to get them from. ?

I agree with Ger, the Michelins are outstanding.
I use Hankook V12 Evo's which are a good cheaper alternative.

Hi Daran,

Im running Michelin Pilot Sport PS3s on my R53 MCS (205/45/R17) (Moved away from Pirelli Eufori runflats).
I have done 7,200 miles on them in just under 18 months, and there is 4.5mm left right now
(I think they were 8mm brand new, cant remember exactly)

Paid GBP327 for 2 fronts fitted in Aberdeen (might be a long way for you to go to get some :-)

I purchased a mobility lit from MINI Genuine Parts for GBP105
http://www.minigenuineparts.co.uk/mini- ... 5.037.html
There are some on ebay as well, even some cheaper then new kits which is unusual for ebay :-) :-)

I will get a price from the Tyre shop next door to Our workshop Tomorrow and send you a pm or call me after 10.30 , I get all my Tyres there and they are always on the ball with prices . mileage is excellent I have never had adverse wear with Michelins but wet weather performance is unreal .

Thanks for the info lads.

The local place quoted me €700 for 4 Michelin PS3s :o but also recommended a set of BF goodrich as an alternitive.
