Ah that's a pity, as I was saying to Ger today ill have to sign up here properly and get to some meets. I have been too busy working on the car :p

Ye its a really great map, the power of the car is perfect in my opinion, its just at the limit to where it needs to be. Anymore and the car would be a handful.

Another hard evening work.

Intercooler fitted,

It was easier than I though to fit, if i had to do itnagain it would only take 30 mins.
some slight modification was needed to the front bumper and grill but nothing major.

I forgot to get a photo with the bumper refitted. It's not really visibly noticeable.

The prokit also arrived, mad to get this fitted to get rid of that gap.

Image

And of course I was down with Larry (cleancar.ie) and picked up some plastidip for the wheels. Pleasure to deal with as always.
Ill tackle them tomorrow. ;)

And finally I have sourced a scorpion cat back exhaust, just waiting on some courier prices to decide if its worth it.

A shot of the front with Intercooler fitted.
You can see it but not very noticable. :)

And also I forgot that i tinted the fog light lenses while the bumper was off.

And so the spending ends.
Still waiting on some parts to arrive and some to be fitted but
The budget has busted and money is gone :(

The Good part is I pretty much have everything i wanted and i just ordered the last mod, Scorpion stainless cat back system.
Should have it Monday or Tuesday. :D

I have been looking them up and they seem to give the sound im looking for. I Dont want it too loud just a nice rumble with rasp.

So the wheel work is well under way.

Plastidip is my new favourite thing :p its so easy to use and the metalizer is crazy stuff, a few coats and it totally transforms the wheel.

Start.
Image

After 5 light coats of black.
Image

One coat of metalizer.
Image

3 coats of metalizer, and this is how I left it.
Image

And back on the car.
Image

Properly cleaned with the dip removed from the tires etc.
Image

Also did the side vents.
I'm going to redo these as I messed up the S, trial and error ;)

Man the MINI looks much better with its clothes on!

Looking good, the Scorpion is meant to be a nice system, sounds good on the Tube anyway.

Nice morning his morning so got up early and went back to work.

2nd and 3rd wheels finished.

Also decided to try doing the badges, this was a lot easier than I thought it would be and they came out great.

And all wheels done and back on the road.

The cars needs a wash and tires need dressed after the work but you get idea.

The trim tape eventually arrived

The only chrome left on the car is the door handles, there are covers available that just clip on but they are steep enough so ill order them when the more important stuff is done.

Oh and I eventually bought a proper set of plastic trim/clip removal tools. They arrived today too.
