Project Cabriolet

Postby 1lightningd » Sun Jan 07, 2007 1:00 pm

Well this is my project: I know it's not a build or a restoration project but never the less it is a project for me. I was looking for a moke, then a kit-car, but I now have my heart set on a cabriolet. I am in the early stages of giving up the cigarette's and so far so good, and have decided to reward myself with a toy. I'll keep everyone posted in here as too how things are going, but I do have a deadline of, this post 12 months time.

O.K. lads My project is completed 46 weeks ahead of schedule. Yesterday I became the proud owner of a 1995 Rover Mini Cabriolet with 73,000 on the clock. British Racing Green (which I belive is the rarest colour in the cabriolets) and completely original barr the steering wheel, which I will change in time. The car was a two lady owner car from new and has spent 5 years of its life in Cyrpus in the sunshine. Needs some very minor work but I'll have plenty of time to be doing that as this is a keeper. I must say it is grate to be behind the wheel of a classic again.Happy days
