As far as I know they are the same and they are very easy to fit, just 4 or 5 nuts. But get good quality ones.

Ger or Ferg are your men on this one, they should be along soon but I'd say stainless is the way to go.

The 'chrome' ones that have been around for the past few years are rubbish made in China and We have seen some rust 3 weeks after fitting , We now only use Stainless ones . fitting is no problem just 3 bolts which will shear off when you try to open -----no problem anyway as you won't be putting them back .

Hello O_B Ger is right in stainless is the best option, that is what i put on my Inny,i just fitted them with fibre and rubber washer's top and bottom to suit so the metal wouldn't touch the paint and then fitted nylontron nut's the one's with the plastic in them, and there are three stud's normally per bumper, hope this help's regard's jon :1icon_evil: :)

Jon is correct , the 'chrome' ones will rust , stainless is the best and will last . We usually have stainless bumpers at about € 50 each .

I'm building 2 tear-drop shaped campers to tow behind our trikes. Thought about fitting Mini chrome bumpers. Anybody get me accurate sizes ie: overall width and inside dimensions and how much of a bend in depth... inside and overall. Trying to figure out if they will look right. The campers are straight across the back and 48 inches wide and guessing the bumpers are about 53 inches wide so will protrude 2 1/2 inches each side ? Suppose a sketch would help. All the best................MO

Don't all panic measuring the bumpers. I have found a Mini owner locally who will sort me out with sizes.

Thanks irlmin for replying. It's not easy answering all the questions on a forum. Hopefully the Mini bumper will fit the camper.
