Eh? I use one on Vista and XP with no problems. Older card readers aren't always SDHC compatible - perhaps that's the issue - don't think it's anything to do with Vista.

Downloaded a driver from the HP website and it works perfect now. Even though it an acer.

Thanks Owen, got it sorted with a lot of searchin forums and lookin at people with the same problem. took a chance in the end and it worked.
