When I changed the seats in the car I found that the pre tensioners had a yellow mark across them, does this mean that they're replacements? Could the car have been crashed?

The yellow 'tabs' would be sticking way out if the tensioners had been activated , also you would have had a warning light on the dash , I think you are OK , I will have a look at MU .

Sorry Ger I should have explained myself better. It wasn't the tabs, it was yellow paint from a paint marker.
