Hi, I was thinking of buying a second hand set of JCW tips for my r53 Cooper S, but there's conflicting reports whether they fit it seems. Would somebody be able to advise me on this issue? The diameter of the JCW tips is 45mm apparently. Would I need to cut or weld anything?
Thank you, Ciaran.

I did this on my R53 before.
As you have heard it isn't straight forward at all I'm afraid....
I got O'Leary's Garage, Mini specialists, to fit them for me.
The diameter is different, the curve of the pipes is different, mounting is different....
They had to take out the inserts in the JCW tips and then weld the tips to the Cooper S exhaust pipes.

I can't honestly remember, it's a few years back now.
